Ralph Ellis was born on 7 December 1956. He is a British independent historical researcher, working from Cheshire and publishing as Edfu Books, and he is not the American novelist of the same name. His work asks what becomes visible in the secular record once the inherited biblical dates are set aside.
Ralph Ellis is a British independent historical researcher, born 7 December 1956, working from Cheshire and publishing as Edfu Books. He works independently of any seminary or faculty. He founded the imprint in 1997 so the books could be published without a university press or a church house deciding what was fit to print. Across the Egyptian Testament and the King Jesus books he identifies the Exodus with the Hyksos expulsion, Jesus with a king of Edessa and a great-grandson of Cleopatra, and the later Arthurian stories with the memory of that king in Britain. Those identifications are his, and they are not the accepted conclusions of scholarship. The longer account is on the biography.
A producer can start from any of these. Each is a subject he discusses. None is offered here as a result that scholarship has settled.
