Ralph Ellis

Biography

Ralph Ellis

Independent of seminary and faculty.

Ralph Ellis began as a software engineer, then worked in mineral surveying, aviation and palaeoclimatology, while building on the archaeological interests of his father.

As a historian he has toured the Mediterranean for more than three decades looking for secular parallels between history and theology. The work has produced two main sequences: the Egyptian Testament, on the Old Testament as displaced Egyptian court history; and the King Jesus Trilogy, on the identity of the gospel king in the first-century record — a king of Edessa, great-grandson of Cleopatra, later remembered in Britain as Arthur.

He has been writing on the subject since he was fourteen. The first book, Thoth, Architect of the Universe, appeared in 1997. Fourteen volumes later the method is unchanged: read the primary sources, refuse the inherited chronology, and ask why so many famous biblical characters are missing from the century in which we were told to look.

Independence from theological and educational establishments is not a pose. It is the condition that lets the identifications be made at all. The argument is historical, not confessional.

He publishes through Edfu Books in Cheshire, England. The YouTube lecture series is the public library of the books; Patreon holds the uncut films.
