What the source says
Whiston’s English of this section describes the high priest’s vestments, the sardonyx stones, and the twelve stones, which the text itself says can be read as the months or the zodiac. The Perseus page is that English. It is not a Greek edition.
Why it is here
The astrology article uses this section for the zodiac reading of the priest’s stones.
Ralph’s interpretation
The vestment is read as evidence that the Nazarene church kept the astrological Great Months. That reading is made in the astrology article. The passage itself describes clothing.
Alternative readings
The passage is ordinarily read as a description of the high priest’s clothing, not as a source for the Round Table. No commentary beyond Whiston was opened.
